3 Ways To Keep Your Car Looking And Smelling Fantastic

Have you recently purchased a new car? If so, you may want to do everything in your power to keep it looking fresh and smelling great. If you do not take proper care of your vehicle, it can easily start to look dirty and smell bad, especially if you leave a lot of junk inside of it. However, there are many simple things you can do to keep up with the maintenance and keep your car in the best shape possible.

1. Create Your Own Air Freshener

Do you feel like those air fresheners you can purchase for your vehicle never seem to last long enough for you? The fresh scent may start to fade away after just a few days. Instead of wasting your money on those air fresheners at the store, simply make your own with a few ingredients.

You can start by placing a handful of candle wax melts inside of a small glass container that comes with a plastic lid. After adding the wax melts to the container, seal the plastic lid on tight and then poke a large hole in the center using a knife. You could place this container on the dashboard. Each time you get in your vehicle, it should smell great. It is simple enough and the scent tends to last for a long time, too.

2. Take Your Car to Get Washed Regularly

Some people may not feel like it is a big deal, but taking your vehicle to the car wash at least once a week is a great way to keep it looking brand new both inside and out. The experts may apply a special glass cleanser to the windows of your vehicle, along with a cleanser to the body of the vehicle that is effective at removing dirt yet gentle enough to not ruin the paint job. Although they may start with the outside of the car, the experts often clean the interior, too. They may vacuum the floors and seats, along with wiping away any dirt. As a finishing touch, they might even apply a coat of car wax to the exterior to give your vehicle that sparkling touch.

3. Use a Spot Treatment on Any Stains

If one of your passengers accidentally drops something in the car, such as sauce or juice, make sure to take action as quickly as possible. Instead of waiting until the next time your take the vehicle to the car wash, simply use a spot treatment to remove the substance so that you can avoid any deep stains. You can even make your own spot treatment by combining a cup of white vinegar with three tablespoons of dish detergent and 10 drops of your favorite essential oil. The vinegar and dish detergent may help to lift the stain quickly while the essential oil will leave a good scent inside your vehicle.

If you have recently bought a new car, it is important to take good care of it so that it continues to look fantastic and smell good inside. There are several things you can do, which includes creating your own air fresheners, taking your vehicle to the car wash and even using a spot treatment if and when people drop stuff.
